Welcome to Mrs. Beverly Mack's Homepage |
Greetings to the Bulldog Family!
As we begin this new 2008-09 school year, I want to say first that I am proud and honored to serve this school and its surrounding community. There is so much to be proud of at Robinson this year and I do want to share with everyone that our students and faculty excelled academically this year. Not only did Jay Robinson meet every goal for the AYP program but we also met “High Growth” under the state’s ABCs Accountability program! This means that our students performed better than the expectation. Thanks to our students and staff members for creating the culture of excellence that is a part of the tradition of Robinson High School. Our teachers and the students here are dedicated in so many ways and I am excited for this opportunity to work with all of them.
In addition, please take the time to read and understand the school rules and procedures. This year we will have a new tardy policy called the “Sweep & Keep” and it is vital that you attend class daily and punctually. This is outlined for you in the Student Handbook and in this newsletter. Good grades and authentic learning are tied directly to attendance and I must stress that you need to be in class daily, ready to learn and participate!
We support you here at Jay M. Robinson High School and I hope that I can be a servant leader for all of you. I want to thank you again for your time and efforts in making this school a place of excellence and acceptance.
In Bulldog Spirit,

New graduation requirements for the current sophomores and freshman are in place. Sttudents must meet a Level 3 or higher proficiency on five important EOC Courses--English 1, Algebra 1, Civics, Biology, and US History. A focused remediation program is in place for those students who do not meet this requirement. I truly stress that you implement a time of study and review at home and stay in contact with your student's teachers on a regular basis. Students must also successfully complete a graduation project during English IV of their senior year. |
