Dear Rocky River Families,

It is with very mixed emotions that I inform you I will be retiring as of July 1, 2013. While I am very excited about moving into a new phase of my personal and professional life, I am sad to be leaving the students, staff, and families of Rocky River Elementary. When I began my career thirty-three years ago, I never expected the time to go by so quickly. It seems like such a short time ago I was planning my first year of teaching and preparing for a very exciting career as an elementary school educator.

I want to take this opportunity to thank you for all you have done to support me during my four years at Rocky River! Your kind words and comforting smiles have helped to make the days enjoyable and reassuring. I will always hold my time here at "The Rock" as a very special and rewarding time in my heart and thoughts. I hope my efforts to improve the educational opportunities for our children have had a positive and lasting effect on their lives. Their smiles, excitement, and success have certainly had a lasting impact on mine!

As we quickly move toward the end of this year I look forward to the remaining days I have to serve the children, the families, and the staff of Rocky River. As always, it will be my goal to make each day a safe and enjoyable learning experience for everyone. Again, thank you for all you have done to help me achieve that goal over the last four years!
