CCS Observes Donate Life Month
This month, Cabarrus County Schools joins with others around the nation to observe National Donate Life Month (NDLM). Throughout the month, Americans are encouraged to register as an organ, eye and tissue donor and to celebrate those who have saved lives through the gift of donation.
An outgrowth of the celebratory month is the Flags Across America initiative that began in 2009. It honors and celebrates the hundreds of thousands of donors and recipients whose lives have been affected by organ, eye and tissue donation. The initiative rallies every donor hospital and transplant center to collectively fly the Donate Life flag during the month of April.
Cabarrus County Schools is proud to have a Donate Life flag flying in front of the Education Center. This flag, along with the thousands of others that are flying throughout the United States, is a visible and unified statement about the importance of donation and reflects the dire need for donors.
