CCS Preparing to Release New Parent Tool

Cabarrus County Schools is excited to announce that it is working with the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction to offer the Parent Assistant Module (PAM) to parents.

The PAM is a new tool that will allow parents access to important information about their child and enhance school-to-home communication.

The PAM, which will be released in 2012-2013 school year, is an internet-based program located on a secure website.  Via the PAM, parents will have access to their child's demographic and attendance information (K-12), and current progress and grades (3-12).

To prepare for implementation of the PAM, all student information must be verified. Today, May 7th, all CCS students will bring home a Student Information Verification Form.  Parents should review the information on the form for accuracy and return it to their child's school by May 11th.

All data on the form regarding siblings and legal custody must be accurately entered into the North Carolina Window on Student Education (NCWISE), the CCS student information database, prior to the implementation of the PAM.

Each CCS school will provide parents additional details regarding the PAM implementation later.
