OfficeMax Makes A.T. Allen Teacher's Day

Melissa Hardesty, a first grade teacher at A.T. Allen Elementary School, was recognized by OfficeMax for her exceptional contributions as an educator through its A Day Made Better teacher appreciation program.

Along with support from Adopt-a-Classroom, OfficeMax strives to make at least one day better for teachers by providing them with essential classroom supplies.

Hardesty was one of 1,000 teachers selected across the nation to receive $1,000 worth of classroom supplies. The OfficeMax team arrived at the school on Tuesday, Oct. 6 to surprise Hardesty and her class with this special honor.

A.T. Allen Principal Hilda Batts said, "We are thrilled that OfficeMax selected Ms. Hardesty for this special honor; she is certainly deserving of this recognition and is a wonderful example of the outstanding educators we have at our school."

Batts continued, "We are very grateful to OfficeMax and Adopt-a-Classroom for recognizing and honoring such well-deserving teachers."
