CHS Teacher Named Top Trainer

Congratulations to Mandy Porter, teacher at Concord High School, who has been named the North Carolina Athletic Trainers Association Secondary Schools Athletic Trainer of the Year.

Each year, the N.C. Athletic Trainers Association selects the top athletic trainer in four categories - secondary schools, college/university, clinical/industrial/professional and educator of the year.

Porter, who was nominated for her "hard work, dedication and service to her school and student athletes," received her award at the N.C. Athletic Trainers Association's spring meeting in Wrightsville Beach, N.C. on March 17th.

In addition to this honor, Porter also was named the Concord High School Teacher of the Year for 2011-2012.
