Odell Students Learn About Fruits & Vegetables
Students in Mrs. Campbell's kindergarten class at Odell Elementary learned about fruits and vegetables on Monday May 2nd during a special presentation from Gina Guthrie, Creative Cook and Proprietor of Bocca Felice. The CCS Child Nutrition Department partnered with Guthrie to teach the class about healthy, seasonal locally grown foods in a fun and creative way.  The students learned about various green veggies, herbs and farm-raised eggs and even learned a fun egg dance. As an added treat, the students sampled frozen strawberry pops.  All produce was fresh from Barbee Farms of Concord.
