Welcome to the 2012-2013 school year! A new school year brings excitement about seeing old friends, studying new subjects and participating in fun school activities. A new school year also brings questions about important issues such as school calendars and transportation. This site is designed to answer those questions and to help students and parents prepare for the upcoming school year.

We’ve included important information about school bell schedules, report card and progress report dates and academic calendars to name a few. Please refer to the navigation menu on the left for links to these as well as other areas of interest. We hope you will find this information useful as you begin preparing for the upcoming school year.

One of the highlights of the new school year is our new curriculum. Please refer to the Common Core State Standards and North Carolina Essential Standards information web page for details.

We also are excited about the expansion of our STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) and international studies magnet programs at Central Cabarrus and Concord High Schools.

Once again this year, CCS schools are hosting Open House events. These Open House events are excellent opportunities to visit your school, meet your teachers and school administrators, and learn more about becoming an active member of your school community.
