Upon pre-approval, candidates will be notified of orientation dates and times. Candidates will not be able to sub for the county until the health exam is received by HR and final application is approved.
++ Effective Teacher Training is a Continuing Education course requiring 30-36 contact hours, available at many local Community Colleges. (Stanly Community College and Davidson Community College offer the traditional campus class and Davidson Community College also offers the course online)

Cabarrus County Schools will be offering an in-house Effective Teacher Training Course. This two day course will run 8:30 am-4:30 pm each day and will satisfy the requirements of subbing in Cabarrus County Schools ONLY. All applicants are required to have a completed and approved sub application on file prior to registering for the class. The completed application includes the items listed above; transcripts, references, health exam, TB test, consumer release and screening, if applicable.
The fee for the two day course is $75.00, which includes the text book and any related materials for the two days. The fee for the course is due by Monday, April 15, 2013 at 5:00 pm. Seating is limited at each session.
Additional sessions will be scheduled beginning again in September of this year and proposed to occur four times per year.
