Congratulations!  You have been offered a position with Cabarrus County Schools.  In order to complete the hiring process, you need to have all of the following information ready and with you at the time of your Payroll/Benefits Session.

• Drivers License
• Social Security Card or Passport
• Income tax withholding information to complete your W-4 and NC-4 forms
• Direct deposit is mandatory.   If you would like your check deposited into a checking account, you must provide us with a blank VOIDED check.  For deposits to a savings account, you must provide us with a blank VOIDED deposit slip.
• If you have previously been employed by this or any other school system, city and/or state agency in North Carolina, you will need to provide us with your prior North Carolina employment history.  (Dates of service (mm/dd/yy), place of employment, position held and hours worked.

You will be signing up for ALL of these benefits during the session.

If you choose to insure dependents, please have their social security numbers and dates of birth with you.

• Dental Insurance: A full service dental plan is available from Ameritas.
• Vision Insurance:  A full service vision benefit plan is available from Community Eye Care.  Provider Network consisting of ophthalmologist, optometrists, and opticians.
• Term Life Insurance:  $5,000 of Basic Life insurance coverage is provided for you by Cabarrus County Schools.  Additional coverage for you and dependents is available at a minimal cost.
• Supplemental Plans:  Flexible Spending Accounts (Medical and Dependent Care), Cancer, Accident, Short-term Disability, Critical Illness, and Whole Life Insurance.
