Graduation

Clothing requirements for Seniors for

Awards Day and Graduation

Ladies - graduation gown with white collar, black closed-toe shoes, dress or skirt (must be black if longer than gown)

Gentlemen - graduation gown, black dress shoes, black pants, black socks, white dress shirt and tie (no bow ties)

See your guidance counselor if you need assistance.

NOTHING should be added to graduation caps and gowns. 

**If you decorate your cap and/or gown you will not be allowed to participate.

 

 

Awards Day

Seniors must be dressed and seated in the gym by 7am .

A class photo for the newspaper will be made by a photographer from the Independent Tribune at 7am. 

 

Family members attending the program may enter the gym from the student parking lot entrance beginning at 7:40am.  The program is scheduled to start at 8am.

A reception for seniors and parents will be held in the media center immediately following the program.

 

Graduation Practice

Friday, June 7 at 11:00am

in CHS gym

YOU MUST BE AT THE PRACTICE IF YOU ARE PARTICIPATING IN THE GRADUATION CEREMONY.

Students may dress casually.  Do not bring your cap and gown.

Senior picnic at Myers Park after practice.

Students must provide their own transportation. 

Lunch will be served and there will be a water activity! 

 Students must wear clothes over swimsuits and should avoid white clothes. 

 If you play, you will get soaked.  Bring a towel!!

 

Graduation - Cabarrus Arena and Events Center

Sunday, June 9 at 7:30 pm

The Class of 2013 must arrrive by 6:13. 

Doors open for family seating at 6:30.

Scholarships and Free Money!!

Nancy Patterson Memorial Scholarship

The Concord High School Social Studies Department lost a valuable member, Mrs. Nancy Patterson, in December 2012. She had been a loyal colleague, educator, and friend for 20 years. Her passion for the field of social studies and her love of young people will forever be cherished.  Her wisdom will live on in the many generations of students she touched. In her memory the CHS National Honor Society has established an academic scholarship to be awarded to a graduating senior who exemplifies the following characteristics:

1. Majoring in history or education

2. GPA of 3.0 or higher

3. Participation in community service

4. Good Moral Character

Any student interested in applying for the Nancy Patterson Memorial Scholarship must complete the following application and return to Mrs. Deal or Mrs. Pressley in rooms 320 or 321 by April 30, 2013.
