Technology

We are extremely proud of our school in regards to technology.

Each classroom and learning area contains a Smart Interactive Whiteboard, Elmo document camea, sound system, Smart Slate, and three iMac desktop computers. Students and staff also have access to two computer labs as well as three mobile laptop carts and three iPad carts.

Each K-2 teacher also has an iPad 2 to use within their classroom.

Software at Irvin includes Think Central, Type to Learn and Type to Learn Jr., First in Math, Brain Pop, Google Earth, and more!  We also enjoy the resources provided by our county such as Discovery Education and Gaggle for grades 3-5.  Add to that NC web sites the state provides for our K-12 students such as Encyclopedia Britannica and NC WiseOwl and you have many exciting ways for students to learn both in and outside of the school day.
