State Grants: Major grant programs for North Carolina students attending North Carolina colleges and universities are listed below. Detail information is provided under each listing.

Federal Grants: By completing the FAFSA, you will be considered for both state and federal grant and scholarship programs. Take a look at the federal programs for which you might be eligible.

State Need-Based Scholarships: You demonstrate financial need, usually by completing the FAFSA

State Merit-Based Scholarships: You demonstrate merit based on a strong academic record, talent in a particular area such as music, art, athletics or other criteria.

Other State Scholarships: You qualify for a program that is based on criteria other than need or merit.
