One of Opportunity Middle School's current service learning projects is raising money to buy $5 mosquito nets to save the lives of children in Tanzania, Africa.  Every five minutes a child under the age of five dies of malaria in Tanzania.  We want to lower the number of children dying from this preventable disease that is spread by malaria-carrying mosquitoes that are active at night.
