Lora- We had a great time at Beta Club Convention in Greensboro last month.  Congrats to the people who placed in competitions.  These people include …

Jordan- Next week (March 7-11) is National Beta Club Week.  Our club will be sponsoring various activities throughout the week to promote our club.  The national service project this year is through the Muscular Dystrophy Association. We will be selling clovers for $1 in order to donate to the MDA during all four lunches each day.  We need two people to sign up for each lunch each day.  As the list goes around, please write your name down for working the booth.  Students will buy clovers, write their names on them, and they will be posted in Norse Cove at the end of the week. Please encourage all of your friends to participate.

Allie- We will also be wearing our Beta Club t-shirts throughout the week.  In order for people to see our t-shirts more than once, each grade level will wear their shirt a different day.  Sophomores will wear their shirts Wednesday, Juniors on Thursday, and Seniors on Friday.

Lora- Another part of our National Beta Club week will be to choose one Outstanding Scholar from each grade level of Beta.  Pay close attention to the announcements next week in order to see who will be recognized!

Jordan- In order to show appreciation for our teachers and make up for our snowed-out attempt in January, we ask each Beta Club member to bring in one bag of mini-butterfingers by next Tuesday.  For those who have are unable to buy a bag, we ask that you please stay after on Tuesday to assemble the candies.

Allie- Points have been updated.  Check your email or Mrs. Parker's website to see how many points you currently have.  Some of you need to get busy!  Also, those of you who have not yet received your shirt, please stay after the meeting to pick yours up.

There is room for 3 more to attend.  Transportation and meals will be paid for, but you would be responsible for your entry fee ($20) spending money, and your hotel room.  (Keep in mind; if there were 4 girls, then the cost would be split between you, and it would be less expensive.)

If you are interested, get back to me right away.  The first three I get commitments from will be the ones to go.  A $75 deposit will be due by April 21st.

I hope some of you will choose to go.  We plan to make it a nice experience by finding some cool things to do along the way and in Kentucky as well.
