*Inductions take place in the student's sophomore year. 
**If a student declines induction or is released from the club at any point, he/she will not have the opportunity to re-join the club.
 

BETA CLUB POINT SYSTEM  

 

Disciplinary problems/behavior unbecoming of a Beta, a GPA of less than 3.65, &/or dropping below the required 150 points will disqualify one from Beta.   

 

***Projects completed in addition to those sponsored by the club must first be approved by Mrs. Parker, Mrs. Biondi, or Mrs. Norris and then be documented on organizational letterhead and signed by the person heading up the event. There must be a telephone number provided as well.

 

***Points are not awarded for all club activities.
***Points may not be lumped together.  Each activity- dates and times must be submitted.

 

Points are gained for:

1. Projects - 5 pts /hr

2. Attendance at Club Meetings = 5 pts /hr

3. Officers' meetings= 5 pts /hr

4. Attendance at State Convention = 25 pts

5. Competing at State Convention = 25 pts

6. Extra Hours of Service Work = 5 pts/hr

7. Project Chairmen receive extra points = 2 pts/hr

 

Points are lost for:

1. Not Showing up for Project Work = -10 pts

2. Failure to Function Assigned Task = -5 pts

3. Unexcused Absence from Meetings = -5 pts
 (2 unexcused = dismissal from the club.)
4. Being tardy results in a 5 point deduction.  The second tardy equates to an unexcused absence.

 

MINIMUM POINT TOTAL NECESSARY PER SCHOOL YEAR TO STAY IN CLUB AND RECEIVE RECOGNITION AT GRADUATION:

150 pts
