The content of English III centers on American Literature.  We will focus on select major works, incorporating various other genres such as the short story and poetry.  The goal will be to study representative pieces of literature as unique reflections of the American experience in order to understand and relate to historical and contemporary issues and events.  Through the exploration of literary analysis, the course develops critical thinking skills in both the verbal and written form.  Included in the course will be daily activities in vocabulary, grammar, SAT skills, composition, speech, and listening.

*The final exam will be cumulative.
