Equine I is taught 4th period, fall semester in F127. Students will study the equine industry and career opportunities in this field. Equipment, safety and styles of equitation will also be a big part of this course. We do use the Animal Science Training Facility (Barn) to teach meaningful skills that will be helpful for the students who hope to have equine in the future or who hope to have an equine career. With the parents permission, riding lessons are also given in this class using the 9 horses that are residents at the facility. |
