Drama Club

Drama Club is open to all students of Hickory Ridge High School who are committed to creating high-quality performances and continually learning more about theatre arts. Students in the club who show outstanding promise by being an active member will gain entry into the internationally honored Thespian Society.


The Drama Club incorporates eligible members of the HRHS International Thespian Society, Troupe #7306

Thespian Eligibility:

1. All interested students may attend meetings.

2. Student needs to earn ten thespian points and pay the one-time Club/Troupe dues to become a member of the National Thespian Society. Once a Thespian, always a Thespian.

3. To maintain membership in the Troupe, student will need to pay the annual local Troupe fees and abide by the bylaws of the Troupe.

Club/Organization Description:

The Thespian Troupe and corresponding drama club (active members not yet at thespian status) are very involved in the production of the three annual theatrical presentations at HRHS:  the fall play, the spring musical, and the annual Talent Show. The Troupe also coordinates a field trip every year. There is a $10 annual Drama Club membership fee.

Member meetings are the last Wednesday of each month from 230-330PM, and officers meet weekly with the Troupe Director unless otherwise announced. Each spring there is an awards ceremony where new thespians are inducted.
